The Kentucky Open Records Act ensures the public access to records held by publicly funded libraries. Therefore, records retained by the Bracken County Public Library may be requested according the guidelines in the policy linked below. The library will respond within three business days, but this may only be to acknowledge request and provide further details. Some records, such as personnel information or confidential documents, may be exempt from disclosure. At minimum, the library will charge $0.10 per page for copying documents, but may also charge fees for staff time. The Bracken County Public Library makes some records available online for easier public access.
