Holocaust Speaker @ the Library Sept. 25th

On Thursday, September 25th @ 6PM,  come to the Bracken County Public Library for a special speaker. The library is seeking to make this the first of multiple similar events hosted at the library. The library regularly offers craft programs and various children’s programs, and the library seeks to offer programs which might reach a broader audience.

The speaker at 6PM Thursday, September 25th will be from the Coppel Speakers Bureau in connection with the Holocaust & Humanity Center in Cincinnati. The speaker will begin with personal/family experiences during the Holocaust of World War II, and then, if time allows, will answer questions from those in attendance. This is an excellent opportunity to hear a firsthand account of this often referenced time in history. There are many truths and lessons to learn from this and other time periods that can make us better as individuals and as a community.

To make preparations for the event, the library requests patrons sign up in advance at the library or call the library to sign up.  Please keep watch on the library Facebook page and the library website for more information about the event and the speaker who will be coming to the event. The library will be providing light refreshments (snacks, cookies, tea, & water) for the program. The library board and staff look forward to seeing you at the program @ 6PM Thursday, September 25th.
